One of the main reasons I had to come home during the month of July was for Independence Day. I love to be in Provo for the 4th of July. That day is full of rich memories of my childhood.
We would start the day off going to the balloon fest that my Grandfather and his Kawanis buddies were in charge of. There they would serve breakfast and we would watch the balloons unfold and become giant creatures of the sky. Afterwards we would head over to Grandpa's house that was conveniently located on the parade route and there we would watch the parade. Later we would head up to our cabin and spend the day experiencing the largest family reunion of all time. Since my Grandfather has passed on it has become increasingly critical for me to continue on these family traditions. So naturally we started our day out with the balloon fest. Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the event.
While we were there the kids were able to actually walk inside the balloon while it was being blown up. Let the memories begin!

How fun is that?!! Brittany was able to go to Provo and stay with Jenny Sorenson in her apartment and met up with Ashley Nygaard too. They went to Stadium of Fire because they are all Jonas freaks! Too bad you weren't able to see each other. When do you head back home? We miss you guys! CA is gorgeous! Come see us sometime.
I can't imagine anything more magical to the kids than watching colourful balloons take flight - brilliant. The expressions on their faces are priceless. We really don't do occassions like that in the same way over here! x
There are some gorgeous pics of the kids here! Looks like you are having a lot of fun! Can't wait to catch up with you all when you get home. The kids are desperate to see yours!
Gorgeous photos Linds, looks like so much fun! x
